On June 13, 2019, there was an open house at Summerfield Town Hall for citizens - details are below:

6/11/19 The Summerfield Town Council Meeting Summary and Video Recording Are Posted.

*Council approved the 2019-20 budget of $1,723,891 and maintained a property tax of 2.75 cents per $100. (3-1)

*Council made numerous committee reappointments but need volunteers.

*Council voted to approve construction of a sidewalk from A&Y tunnel to Summerfield Road (South end where it meets Highway 220) for $128,000. (3-1)

*Council agreed to advertise for a replacement for resigning town attorney Bill Hill............

Summerfield Zoning Board Meeting - Town Core Plus?

On 6/10/19 the Zoning Board met at Summerfield Town Hall to review recommendations made by the Unified Development Committee (UDC) that is no longer active. 

Open space, open space residential development (OSRD), open space residential mixed (OSRM), 25% open space must be buildable, commercial with apartments above it, 15% of property available for affordable housing, town core designation using Summerfield Road and go 1200 feet East toward.......................

Homeowners on Summerfield Road are not pleased with Summerfield leaders decision to approve the commercial construction project at 7506 Summerfield Road (property adjacent to the Guilford County Sheriff's Substation) because of water runoff.  Water runoff was a problem.........
